GAMMA LINOLENIC ACID
Gamma Linolenic Acid (or GLA) is an Omega-6 Fatty Acid that is converted within the body into substances that battle inflammation.
Where can we source GLA?
GLA primarily found in plant seed oils (evening primrose, blackcurrant, borage and of course hemp). It is also found in a few other dietary sources such as organ meats, and is even found within human breastmilk.
What are some of the benefits of GLA?
Gamma Linolenic Acid has been found to have numerous health benefits thanks to its anti-inflammatory “superpowers.”
There have been studies done on eczema, arthritis, allergies, skin irritations and more - there have even been studies conducted that show GLA can reduce the size of tumours, and fights cancer cells to inhibit their development.
Gamma Linolenic Acid has been shown to have incredible benefits on many skin-related inflammations, and eases, soothes and helps to heal skin that has been raw and irritated in response to conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, allergies, sclerosis and more.
